Solution to licensing issues experienced by select users due to Windows service corruption (WMI)

The Windows Management instrumentation (WMI) is a service provided by Windows. A corruption in WMI service would affect the execution of licenses in our tools.

This can be confirmed by opening the Computer Management -> Services and Application -> WMI Control -> More Actions -> Properties which shows WMI invalid classes.

Download batch file here.

Running the downloaded batch file as administrator would force WMI services to restart.

1.       Run the command prompt as administrator.

2.    Now go to the location where you have copied the batch file in the command prompt and execute the file as shown.

3.       Press OK to continue for any messages during the execution of the script.

The following link describes in detail about this solution and possible cause for this type of windows service corruption.
