IMSA

Bosch Motorsport and the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) gear up for a long-standing partnership.

IMSA

Safety. Fairness. Passion.

Racing in the International Motorsports Association (IMSA) means not only endurance and speed, but also complying with high standards and strict regulations. As an IMSA partner, we equip the race cars with innovative components and sensors and provide a level playing field for all teams. We also give IMSA, the principal authority, live access to all data sets, so that it can get a comprehensive overview of the ongoing race event at any time.

Good to know

Variety

IMSA racing sees private teams participating alongside OEM factory teams. It covers various classes, from prototypes up to GT vehicles.

Racing series

IMSA organizes several major racing series, such as the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. It’s a top series that includes prestigious events like the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Innovation at the forefront

IMSA actively promotes the introduction of new technologies in motorsports. In this context, the latest developments in hybrid and electric drives are particularly worth mentioning, especially in the GTP class.

Our premiere in IMSA was like the races themselves: exciting, challenging, and a learning experience. Yet we mastered it as a team.

In 2023, history was made before the 24 Hours of Daytona even started. For the first time, the cars used in two long-distance racing series were able to compete for the overall victory without requiring any modifications at all. Bosch Motorsport supplied the hybrid powertrain for these Le Mans Daytona hybrid (LMDh) vehicles and handled the entire system integration.

Going the Distance

Going the Distance

For the new Le Mans Daytona hybrid (LMDh) prototypes, it all begins with a flying start at the Rolex 24 At Daytona in late January 2023. By that time, the engineers and technicians at Bosch Motorsport had already completed their own endurance race. Watch our documentary series “Going the Distance” for a unique behind-the-scenes look just weeks before the start of the season and meet the team behind the development of the hybrid system.

The Race for Insights

The Race for Insights

Motorsports thrive on speed, performance, and innovation. The most important basis for all decisions is data. The docutainment format ”The Race for Insights” shows how Bosch Motorsports is helping to advance and develop racing. In several episodes, we give valuable first-hand insights of how Bosch Motorsport acquires and analyzes data and prepares it for the teams. All in pursuit of the same ultimate goal: to outpace themselves and exceed own limits.
