Achieving more performance

With the central vehicle control unit, Bosch Motorsport not only offers the brain of the vehicle electronics, but also provides the team with innovative data transmission and analysis tools for vehicle testing, in addition to other components.

A common goal: being at the top in terms of sport and technology.

Formula E embodies the idea of motorsport as a technology platform for everyday mobility. As a partner and pioneer, Bosch also puts innovation among the top priorities in racing. This is evident not only in its innovative electronics and powertrain technology, but also in the new Julius Baer Pole Position Trophy, which Bosch has created utilizing its high level of manufacturing expertise. The trophy's carbon-fiber-reinforced shell is manufactured using a purely software-based 3D printing process. The inside forms a skeleton of fiberglass strands, which is reinforced with 100 % recyclable industrial plastic. In other words, the only limitation for Bosch engineers on this high-strength component is their creativity. The trophy is presented to the winner of the qualifying and thus represents an excellent starting position not only technically but also in sporting terms.
